I am a Registered Psychologist with over 25 years of experience in the mental health field and have been in private practice since 2013. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling Psychology and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Biology, providing a strong foundation for my work in mental health and well-being.

I  have experience in delivering short and long-term mental health care services to clients with a variety of mental health issues. This includes treatment for mood disorders (including anxiety & depression), trauma (physical & emotional), managing family dynamics, learning skills about self-care, emotional regulation and self compassion. I can also help and support with navigating workplace conflict, anger management skills, chronic paint and illness management and processing grief,

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) framework, that includes, a positive, strength based psychological approach; I like to work collaboratively with clients to help you create and achieve goals and create growth to help clients move in a healthier direction. We will work with strengthening, building and adapting current life skills and abilities as well as learn new skills to create and reach personal goals and increase successes in your daily life, relationships and career.

I also have previous experience working as a Family and Youth Counselor at a residential treatment center in Red Deer, Alberta where I assisted youths aged 11-18 years with various behavioral, psychological, and addiction issues. I worked with the Street Ties program supervising homeless youths during the day and assisted them with resume writing, computer skills, and provided nutritious snacks. I have worked at a Detox Centre for children under the age of 18, and counselled youths who were court-ordered to participate in AADAC and PChAD (Protecting Children Against Drugs) services. I can help you navigate with your family and youth in a healthier way when experiencing troubles in these areas.

I worked as a Family Support Worker for over 2 years with Assured Community Services helping families and youth make healthy transitions in their lives, and I also assisted them with behavioral and relationship issues. I have assisted families in the social services system with foster family involvement, safe and effective interaction, and supervision. 

I have also worked as a Youth Group Peer Support Program Coordinator for the Schizophrenia Society of Alberta for over 7 years, coordinating group activities and education/life skills modules for individuals with schizophrenia and/or psychosis aged 16-30 years.
